Miscellaneous ramblings from the President

Let me start my saying CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!  To everyone that helped with the April fool rally!
A special thanks to Dave Cooper and Dave Chadwick ( and Wanda). Any one that has set up this rally knows how much work goes in to it. Great job guys and gals, I heard nothing but positive remarks especially about the route itself. I don’t want to leave those out that helped put this thing all together. A rally of this type takes a lot of teamwork, thick skin, and cooperation. We had all three elements.
I cannot praise those enough that scored the sheets. The rally could have been 100% perfect in all ways yet failed miserably had everyone had to wait very long for the results. Perfect job everyone!!

I am really looking forward to this summer. Starting early is our first mystery meal of 2012. We are fortunate to have probably the best mystery meal leader in the nation taking control of this one. Try not to miss it! I know it will be talked about for some time.

The Northglenn  Middle School has ask us to help celebrate their 50th anniversary by showing our cars at the School May 10. This should be fun.

Next “the biggy” the Heritage Square Fathers day show. I know that Mike and Jackie have been working hard on this one to make it a show to remember. We will be talking about this one at the next meeting. Start thinking of things you would like to do or any ideas that may make it even better. Mike is open to all suggestions. Wounded warriors will be there as well as (possibly) Fox 31, we have some exciting vendors showing up, Emich is helping and I believe Mike Shoemaker has been talking to exhibitors also. We have all the ingredients to fill Heritage Square to the max. I’m hoping to impress everyone so much that we will fill the parking lot next year as well as  the town area.

I look forward to seeing all of you at the next meeting.

Bill

Report from Dave Burritt

We now have online registration for the Fathers Day show. If you go to our website you should easily find links to the online registration. Once a person registers the show organizer (Mike M) will be notified of who registered along with the car type and how many total people have registered. This should help in the planning of the show.

I am currently working on doing the same thing for the autocross. I have some ideas about how we should handle the autocross and I will talk about those at the meeting.

Dave Burritt
