Now that our Corvette show is over and what a grand success it was. It is time to have some fun. This weekend at Gunnison was the start. We discovered new places to eat, made a ton of new friends and laughed until our faces hurt. For those of you who did not make the trip, just imagine 25 of us in the conference center at the Comfort Inn, telling stories of old adventures and making memories that will last a lifetime until the wee hours of the morning. There also is the fact that members of our club that have never won an award at a show, did so at Gunnison. It was a fantastic trip for all. I look forward to seeing you all this Thursday at the meeting.
Good grief, where has the summer gone?!?!?!?
For me, the months of July and August simply must have vanished. After breaking the old girl in South Dakota, it was a mad thrash to get her running again for our car show in between all of the other activities going on in life.
Even though the list of remaining events for the year is beginning to wind down, the pace of them hasn't lessened at all.
Good grief, I've gotta get this newsletter posted. I hope to see everyone at the club meeting Thursday night!

I simply don't know what to say! In a year in which every show I've been to had much lower attendance
than in prior years, how can you explain our attendance going up - significantly? Anyone have a clues?
I do, - ALL OF YOU!!!
Every single person I spoke to during the show told me almost exactly the same thing. "We're having a
great time here today!".
Do you know why they were having a good time? I do - ALL OF YOU!!! All of you were out mingling with the
participants. There were things for them to do too thanks to the efforts of ALL OF YOU!!
I'm also told that we raised about $270 for Tim's Challenge. Again, this couldn't have been done with out all of you pitching in to put everything together and then sell it to the participants. What a job you all did!
In all fairness, the excellent service on the part of the wait staff at Jay's certainly didn't hurt
the show either.
All in all, another excellent job by all of you!
As Richard pointed out, this show was a great time for everyone!
New friends were found, new winners were crowned, many stories were told and great drives were the norm.
Here are a few pitures from the event.
A group of 8 club members gathered at Red Robin before heading out to the movies.
The movie was full of laughs and everyone who attended had a great time!
See the notes from the club meeting and the DtRC schedule for a list of what's coming up.
Nothing from the Gov this month.
Be sure to track the calendar on the regional website - www.rmrnccc.org.
