Miscellaneous ramblings from the President

Greetings!

Here we are again, starting a new Corvette season. It seems that I hear that phrase about once a month rather than once a year. Time flies when you’re as young as we are.

As I said in a previous email, I am exceptionally excited about this coming year. Our January meeting convinced me that we now have the club members that will once again make Down the Road Corvettes the club by which others will judge themselves. When you have each and every member get involved with the excitement shown in January there is no way you can fail.

We have Dave Cooper and Dave Chadwick working on the April fool rally. Mike M and others working on a Father’s day show. Don, Tanya and Nancy are working on the NCCC convention. Muff Davis is working on a group picture. Dave B is working on autocross with John M. helping. Cathy and Mary are taking charge of Social events. Jani S. is taking over the newsletter, Web master and about 6 other things. Jackie M and Tanya are taking over merchandise. Then you take the other members all offering their help, it is very energizing to say the least.

I would like to welcome Muff and Renee to our club. I have not met Renee but am looking forward to it. I do know Muff from past years and look forward to getting to know him better in years to come.

A special thanks to Dave Burritt for getting our Web site back up and running. I understand it was somewhat of a disaster and had to be completely redone. I know John Maxwell had input on it also. We all thank you guys for a job well done.
I look forward to seeing everyone at the Feb. Meeting if not before.

Bill

From the Editor:

Another wonderful Christmas party was enjoyed in December by all at the Old Neighborhood and I would like to thank Mary Davis for a great job and organizing the party for us this year. Lots of fabulous gifts, delicious food, and fun were enjoyed by everyone. We are still waiting to hear about Gail's winnings from the lottery tickets.

A fresh start of a new year and I'm sure alot of wonderful trips, exciting events put on by our club and of course let's not foget the great food. I'm looking forward to getting to know each of you even more with stories from the past and new ones coming this year.

Don't forget to send me any news that you would like to include in each monthly newsletter by the 15th. -

See you soon,

Jani
