From the Prez....

Hi Everyone,

Corvette season is in full swing and it seems that the year is almost over, and it just started! It's been a good time so far this year and I know there are so many events yet to go. The social committee has really stepped up the events with the help of everyone and I know we all appreciate it. Of course, it's a great reason to get out and drive your cars, so take advantage of it.

The DtRC autocross is fast approaching on July 17 at the State Patrol track in Golden, and I know that we definitely need your help. Feel free to come out and play with us. You will have as much fun working it as the drivers do driving it!

Keep the shiny side up and Save the Wave!

John Maxwell
President, DtRC

Miscellaneous ramblings from the Editor:

Good grief, it's summer already! Wait, where did spring go? It seems like I just got the garden put in!

The schedule next month is jambed full of great fun whether it's the 50th Anniversary celebration at Purifoy, our Auto-X or one of the other events in the schedule. Don't forget about the show in Gunnison in mid-August either. If you are even thinking about going, you need to get your hotel reservations made. Rooms are going fast. As I always say, if it's between April and October, you have a Corvette and didn't find something to do with on any weekend, you didn't look!

Our little club had a great turnout for the annual Father's Day show at Heritage Square. I think I counted 10 club cars there. However, I also had a couple of Margarita's which made the show one to remember. As always with a car show, the best part is chatting with club members and other enthusiasts who enjoy the cars. Alex and his team did a good job putting on the show although I really need to speak with him about his selection of announcers.

Here is a little something to make you think a bit....

"Time is the coin of your life. It is the only coin you have, and only you can determine how it will be spent. Be careful lest you let other people spend it for you." Carl Sandburg

Always remember - SAVE THE WAVE!
