Hello everyone, thank goodness spring is finally here. It seems like ages since we started our long winter hibernation, but now it is time to wake and get active in the start of the Corvette season. The April Fools Rally is only a couple of weeks away and it will take all of us working together to make it another great DtRC event for which we are known for. I look forward to seeing everyone at the meeting Thursday.
Wow, hello, it's here - the 2011 Corvetting season that is!.
Thanks to the help of many people, the Rally planning is nearly done. It couldn't have been done without the help that all of you have provided. The route is pretty darned good and this coming week end is your chance to try it out! Please come out and give it a whirl!
Richard picked up some coupons for free races at Unser Racing - an indoor go-kart track right next to Go Chevrolet. If anyone is interested in trying it out, they are open until 10:00 PM and we could stop by after the club meeting. I'll bring my helmet if you bring yours!
I hope to see everyone at the meeting Thursday night!

Looking for mystery meals! Anyone, anyone?
Hi Everyone,
The weather really makes you want to get out and about. The first event of the season as usual is Colorado West hosting autocrosses over at Fruita on March 27th. Then the front range kick-off is our very own April Fool's Rallye on April 3rd. Hopefully the weather will be as nice as it was this weekend. Larry did mention that Grand Junction is getting real busy in the summer so if anyone is planning to come over for the Go-Kart track race on June 12th - you might want to book a room soon.
The banquet was very nice. Turnout was moderate with about 60 people attending. The top 15 got very nice awards this year - vinyl cling ons of their car number - with their first name written somewhere in the number. It was really cool. Dave also did a wrap-up video for the year that was shown at the banquet. We have a copy - we might put it on sans sound during break at the meeting - or maybe before.
The Blue Bars editor is always looking for original articles (not reprints of items in other publications). If anyone has a lessons learned, feel good, oops, or just a story to share - you can find the contact info in your Blue Bars magazine.
All of the Brown & Brown insurance information is on the NCCC national website should anyone need it. This includes printable waivers should you find yourself needing some and don't have them. I did just order a couple of pads of waivers - so I have plenty - if you do need any let me know. Proof of insurance, etc. is also on the website.
So take a look at the calendar on the regional website - www.rmrnccc.org - and see what you can fit in - it looks to be another action packed season. See you Thursday.

Things are getting busy at the Corvette Museum. Registration for the C5-C6 bash is open and several raffles are underway, one is a little different from the normal, they are raffling off a trip to Paris/Le Mans to see the sights and attend the 24 hour race. They are only going to sell 400 tickets and they are $75. If this sounds like something for you, log onto http://www.corvettemuseum.com/ and click on raffles. This raffle ends Thursday, March 24th, so don't wait too long.
