Miscellaneous ramblings from the President

Happy March everyone!
The weather could not be better for Corvettes. You and I both know that this could be a dirty trick by Mother Nature. We may have several inches or even feet of snow any week now. Let’s keep our fingers crossed for good weather at least thru April 1. Several members have been working hard on the April Fool rally. The route is done, clues are still being perfected as it is all coming together. In a couple of weeks we are going to ask everyone to come out and run the route again. It seems no matter how careful you are putting these things together, new eyes always find an error or room for an improvement.

Mike Davis and I were privileged to attend the Colorado Corvette Club meeting Saturday the 10th. They were very gracious host and were glad to hear that we are moving forward as a better club. We invited them to attend our upcoming events and told them that we were anxious to attend some of their events as well. We want to promote cooperation with other clubs rather than animosity.

Things are moving right along with the Heritage Square Fathers Day Show.  There is still much to do but Emich wants to help as much as they can. It appears that Mike and Jani have been in contact with potential vendors to attend the event. I believe other members are working on vendors as well. It would be nice to have varying vendors on site with booths showing the latest and greatest. These vendors help keep things interesting to those attending the show. Mike and Jackie are coming up with new ideas to help the show almost on a daily basis. I see their excitement every time I’m around them.

Mike and Mary hosted their annual St. Patrick’s day gathering Saturday. As usual we all had a great time. We even saw some old friends. Its great to have events such as these and see past members join us.
Thanks for all your hard work Mary (and mike).

I look forward to seeing everyone at the meeting

Bill
