From the Prez....

The club picnic was a great success with lots of food and fun for all! The Corvetting season is rapidly coming to an end so take advantage of the short time we have left this season to get out and enjoy them.

Richard
President, DtRC

Miscellaneous ramblings from the Editor:

The last few months have been an intersting period for our club to say the least. However, we should never lose sight of the fact that the club's focus has always been on having a good time free from issues. Let's get back to that!

The California road trip has been a blast so far and the stories that will be told are many! I hope everyone else is having as good a time as we are!

Remember - SAVE THE WAVE! (You'd be disappointed at how many out here don't.)

Tim

Saratoga Road Trip with the Usual Suspects

From Tim Barnes

It was a beautiful day for a drive, so we did!

Seven members of DtRC headed out for a new adventure to Saratoga, Wyoming and we're happy to report that it was a great time. The drive was beautiful, heading up 287 to Laramie and then over the Snowy Range Road into Saratoga. A picture is included below.

Once in Saratoga and settled into the motel, we headed out for a good meal at a local resort and returned to the motel just about in time to head to Duke's Bar and Grill to listen to The Usual Suspects. We closed down the joint and surprisingly, were even invited back for New Year's Eve and the Chariot Races in February.

One the way back to the motel in the wee hours of the morning, we were greated by two buck deer out munching on the local weeds. The deer paid absolutely no attention to us what so ever.

Saratoga was a very nice little town and all of us who enjoyed the trip are looking forward to another excuse to head up there. However, next time, we want to stay at the Saratoga Resort. It was an incredibly neat place with its's own hot springs on site and would make a great place for a get-a-way.

Down the Road Corvettes Annual Picnic

From Tim Barnes

Well, for those of you who missed out on the club picnic this year, too bad for you!

The picnic was hosted by the Loch's this year who did a knock out job! Much fun and laughter was had by all who attended. The picnic even included a bonfire and toasted marshmallows with Reese's Peanut Butter Smores which were a big hit. I must admit however that not all marshmallows that got toasted made it to eager mouths as certain toasters occasionally got a little over zealous with the toasting.

Here are a few pitures from the event - including the guest of honor...
